I got the Wynn Filter installed a couple of weeks ago and man what a differance. I hope the following photos will help someone else. All in all it was quick and easy (only a one beer project). I have to say, boy am I glad I screwed the seperator in, as you will see in the following photos and commentary.

The first thing is to take off the old bag, boy was it dusty. the following photo shows all the fines that were on the plate (some of that fell off the bag whileI was removing it) with a 1/4 full bottom bag. If you have a DC 1100 you know that is normaly full.

First took off the seperator.

Next I put the filter on, to check the fit. First thing the little turnbuckles were too long. After a little thought I remembered that I hade a piece of light Alum. angle (1 x 2). I cut it to 1 5/8 leg and filed a notch in the center for the hook on the turnbuckle.

Next I drilled and pop rivited the three brackets on to the filter.

Next I installed the filter with the 3 turnbuckles, using a 1" block to center the filter as I tightened it up.

Then I reinstalled the seperator.

The bag was a little challange and be carefull you don't put you finger through the side trying to get it on (2nd photo),

Next was the test, everything went A OK.
, but the bag is bigger that the base.

So I took my hand and stuffed it back under while the unit was running.

still in place, hasn't moved in a couple of weeks now. The unit works very well, can't give you any hard data, but a very noticeable increase in dust collection (sucking) and virtually no dust coming out the filter (shop is a lot less dusty too), like it was with the cloth bag. Another plus, the other day I needed to cut some 45's so I took the back off of my Jet 10" Con. saw and this is what I saw.

Any of you with this setup will know that there is usually 4 - 5 inchecs of sawdust in all the corners.

I hope this will help some one out.
