Hello,

First of all: A BIG THANK YOU TO THIEN for his brillant mind and for sharing his finding with the community !!!

I read a lot of your posts and did, 2 weeks ago my own version of the Thien Cyclone Separator.

It was made fully from recycled parts and NOTHING was bought for this project.
It works extreamly well and I thought that I would share you my version.

Nothing clever. Just applied what you all did. I just did it my way, with my stuffs, my tools and ... my son  :P

That has been a funny project and I now use it to work in clean conditions.

Here you will see it in demo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqIS6V1OZr8

I posted this video in a French forum and got some enthousiastic feed back so I took the time to write down the details of the project.
It is written in French but if several people would like to get it in English, I may take the time to translate it and post it here.

It wolks really really well as you can see in the video.

If I change something, I keep the same bucket volume for the separator but make it stronger. I may add a ring at mid height of the current bucket.
I'll add a security valve as well.
I may use bigger elbows to be able to attach two vacuum and get bigger air flow but I'm not sure this is necessary.

If you look at the video, you will see that the cyclone bucket has a tendency to collapse a bit.
I may put a security valve but I may as well make the cyclone bucket stronger by putting a ring at mid height of it.
The ring would be at the outside of the bucket to not create turbulences inside.

I will post a picture if I do it.
