Dusty, I have a DC1100 2hp and I also have the spiral ramp. Jet told me that I could install the small round plate, under the spiral, like the new ones have and should work ok. I made Phil"s baffle and I ran it about one yr , with very little dust getting in my bag and always dumping my 45 gal drum. I have the canister on top and try to rotate the arm after every use. I also blow it out every month or so.
I love his baffle which I ran a 5 inch hose into it with 2, 4 inch dia ports for my equipment with shut offs at each tool.
