Just finished a job and got my tools home.  want to get at this collector.

Does any one know of a place to buy an impeller ?

Next, but I have been thinking, always a dangerous thing.

Has anyone ever tried using an air stream, from a small compressor to direct dust down the side of the collector.  Some where 2/3's of the way of the lower baffle ?

Not a huge stream of air, but enough to direct the dust down and hopefully more will settle .

Ok 3 questions.  Phil I noticed some people we remarking how there was fine dust on the underside of the lower baffle.  Has anyone tried a shape of the bottom of the baffle.  ie 1/2 a ball.

Or is there a bit of inherint static that the fine dust clings to ?

Injecting downward air won't work.  The airspeed from the DC is so high that anything you'd inject w/ an air compressor would have to be substantial.

And dust on the bottom of the baffle isn't a bad thing.  No sense in worrying about that.

Thanks for the reply.

I was not worring about the fine dust, I was wondering if there was a way to enhance collecting the fine dust.
