ive made a simple garbage bin cyclone and its so simple and works  so good i have not cleaned the filter on my shop vac for about a month.... i used to do it weekly......im so conviced im now gonna make one for my big squirrel cage extractor.....i got lots of questions... but heres where ill start....the  extractor has an inlet of 230mm!!!!....and the out is about the same.....if i go down to the only available size of plumbing fittings to 150mm ill seriously lose alot of suction????...has anyone got an idea for bigger plumbing fittings or something similar....or should i just down size the inlet to 150mm and be done with it?.....also can u put the cyclone on any side (inlet side or outlet side?).......

Have a picture of your squirrel cage extractor?  When someone says "squirrel cage" along with 10" inlet, I think HVAC blower, which doesn't work well for dust collection.
