Title: Lid design

Phil,

Does the outlet need to be centered in the lid to be effective?  Reason for asking is that I'm thinking that by adding a baffle to an existing separater lid such as the one sold by Woodcraft and others might result in just as effective cyclone without starting from scratch in building the lid.  What do you think?

For optimum results the outlet tube should be centered.  But people have baffled the Woodcraft unit w/ great results.
