I am setting up Delta 50-851 with a Thien baffle and a Wynn fanged nano filter. The only reference I found of someone else trying this configuration showed unsatisfactory results.
The housing/filter ring has the following dimensions:
diameter: 24"
Height: 10 3/4"
Inlet port is 6" high, square and centered on ring.
Internal cone opening 19"
opening is 5" from bottom of ring/ Thien baffle.
The Wynn filter has a 14" ID.
Most of the conversions I have seen are based on 20" diameter rings.
My first inclination is to remove the internal cone and use a 6" plastic speaker tube bell mouth as an exhaust to the filter.
Any thoughts? Thanks, Woody

Any thoughts on fitting ring to close off the internal cone and running an 8" bell mouthed chimney up to the filter?
If the bell protrudes 1" below the cone, it will be 4" above the Thien baffle.
I'm revisiting this project after a 6 month delay. Just wondering if anyone had an suggestions before start cutting parts. Thanks, Woody
