I had a chip collector setup already and "slapped" this together in about 35 minutes. I wasn't precise and had to use a center post due to the existing location of the inlets. This thing works so well I'm pinching myself. Before only the heaviest items would stay in the can. Now, all the chips stay in the can. Incredible.

Excellent job, like how you have it mounted directly below the DC inlet!

Quick question.
This is my first post here, but I'm wondering what size trash cans work best.
Will a 20 be ok? .... Just would fit under my DC.

Thanks

Provided you can make the fittings "fit" within the diameter of the top, you can use any can size which works under your DC, no problem.

Hmm, I have the same DC, but I added a good filter on top and what a difference it made for pulling stuff out of my table saw.  After taking a more serious look at the design of this, I'm going to take a venture into building this, but funds are short to go purchase a trash can...but I'll more likely have funds to build it and have it ready for when I'm ready to really start cutting into some wood.
