I just purchased a new dc it has a 6 inch inlet. do they make six inch dust port fittings that I can use on a 30 gal trash can?

None that I know of.

You may want to consider making your own side inlet to the 30-gallon can.  You can glue a piece of 6" PVC through a hole in the top, too.

Yep, read the thread started by "pitbull" that is titled  "6" Inlet/Outlet Separator How to with Video, Pics and Text".

If you are going to build the side inlet with baffle in the can and planning a wall-mounted impeller setup, ensure you plan enough clearance to remove the baffle to empty the can. ie. if the baffle is 8" high, you need to lower the can or raise the baffle (or some combination of the two) that 8" to slide it out. One of the advantages to the 'top hat' style is that you only need enough clearance to slide the pail under it.
